Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about the Witches’ Ball

Can I buy tickets the day of the event?

Yes! There will be tickets available at the door, but you will save money if you get them early!

Will there be alcohol?

Yes. This also means we will be checking ID’s at the door: please have yours ready. Those under 21 will get an X on their hands. The bar is located in the Ballroom. Please remember to tip your bartenders in CASH. All alcohol purchases must be with Taste Tickets per our contract with the Highlands Event Center.

Will there be food at the event?

We are working to secure food trucks where you will be able to get food throughout the night. AS soon as they are secured, we will share!

There will also be a concession stand in the ballroom where you can find snacks, coffee and cupcakes. Taste Tickets must be used for all purchases at the Concession Stand.

Where can I park?

There is a parking lot around the Masonic Lodge, however it does fill up quickly. There is adjacent parking along the streets. We recommend carpooling.

Are kids allowed?

Yes. This is an event for all ages. There will be kids activities from 5:30-8:30. These will include crafts, a costume contest and trick-or-treating. New for 2023: a family friendly ritual early in the evening! We do encourage families to enjoy the festivities early in the evening and consider how their kiddos will react to louder music later into the night.

What do I wear?

Costumes, formal attire, ritual garb and witchy attire are all encouraged however there is no requirement.

Do I need a ticket for the Midnight Ritual?

No. The Midnight Ritual at the Denver Witches’ Ball is free and open to anyone. Entry to the Ball after 1130 is free. As our community gathers to celebrate Samhain, our ancestors and the turning of the Wheel…we invite everyone willing and able to join us for this decades long tradition. Please check the Midnight Ritual Ritual page for any updates and to learn about the Denver based Pagan group leading this year’s ritual.

How accessible is everything for guests with mobility issues? Are there lots of places to sit if needed?
