Creating Sacred Ritual Space

Primal Roots Drumming is one of the rituals of the evening.  It is held in the North Lodge Room upstairs, used by the Masonic Lodge for their high meetings and rituals.  We intend to honor this space as they do.  Please bring no food or drink other than water into the room.  DO bring reverence for the work we do here, whether it shows up as meditative trance, somber rhythms, ecstatic dance, or pounding beats that soak into your body.

In Primal Roots Drumming we reach back, to tap into the inner rhythms of our bodies and hearts that have been with us our whole lives.  In our community created spiritual space for trance drumming and dancing, we connect with each other to create grooves that support individual trance work, release energies that no longer serve, invite new energies for manifestation, and excite spirit within ourselves.  It’s our time to revel in space with divine energies.

Let yourself be transported to another plane of consciousness – the Group Mind of the drummers and dancers.

Bring Your Drum, as you are able!

If you have a hand-held drum or other non-amplified percussion instrument, you are welcome to join in. All skill levels are welcome.  Some drums and various percussion instruments will be available for those unable to bring their own.

Don’t have a drum – – No worries! Come participate with dancing, clapping, and bringing your amazing energy to add to the sacred space!

Join us at 8:00 and Go Back to Your Primal Roots!
North Lodge Room on the 2nd floor of the Masonic Temple

Notes on the space:

We are in the Ritual Space for the Masonic Lodge, treat it with high respect.  No food or beverages other than water, please.  We definitely recommend having your water with you for this work.

The doorway needs to remain clear.  If you’re just checking it out, do so from the ample seating or on the dance floor.

This ritual space has well designed acoustics, so we don’t have to play loud to be heard.  The lively acoustics allow for potent connections without overwhelming volume.
