Children’s Events
Children are encouraged to attend and enjoy the Denver Witches’ Ball. We even have specific events early in the evening so that they can still make bedtime. There will also be a Best Kids Costume contest and plenty of music to dance to in the Ballroom. There will be activities specific to the 2-14 crowd from 6-8pm.
Covenant of the River and the volunteers at the Denver Witches’ Ball are looking forward to sharing the evening with you and your family. We do ask that you pay attention to your child’s needs and recognize that many small people cannot handle too many hours of this level of stimulation. Please consider bringing your kiddos to the earlier portion of the Denver Witches’ Ball to enjoy the festivities geared towards them.
Enchanted Remembrance and Hopeful Intentions: Grandmother Spider Brings the Light
Upstairs in the North Ritual room 530pm
Join us as we retell the story of “Grandmother Spider Brings the Light”, originating from the Cherokee (Tsalagi or Keetowah) tradition. Finger puppets and group participation will help us weave this ancient tale of cooperation and courage that brought light and fire to the world in a way that children from ages 4-12 can enjoy.
Parents and older siblings are encouraged to participate. Please note, children under the age of 8 require a parent or responsible adult present for the duration of the ritual. Ritual will last approximately 20-40 minutes.
